Wall planners for the office: what matters
A wall planner is the only planning tool everyone sees at the same time. For that to work it has to do three things — and one of them is almost always overlooked.
Three decisions
Wipeable or not: Where plans change — holidays, shifts, projects — the wipeable version pays off (Wall planner Colour 2027 wipeable, 19.95 €).
Size: DIN A1 is the office standard. Anything smaller becomes unreadable from three metres away.
Calendar weeks: Without ISO 8601 week numbering, departments talk past each other. Sounds minor, costs time every day.
Five points for the Office use
Readable from three metres
A wall planner is read in passing, not studied. Type that's too small or lines that are too tight turn it into decoration.
Wipeable for changing plans
Holiday and shift planning changes constantly. A wipeable surface prevents the point where, after two months, nobody can make sense of it any more.
Calendar weeks to ISO 8601
If you communicate in calendar weeks, you need them on the plan. Different counting between plan and software is a reliable source of errors.
Space per day
With several people or projects, every day needs several lines. A plan with one line per day is a calendar, not a planning tool.
Mounting
Paper planners tear at the corners. A hanging rail or a sturdy edge decides whether the plan still hangs straight in June.

What size does an office of five need?
DIN A1 as the minimum. With more than five people or many parallel projects, the landscape leporello is often more practical because it gives each person their own line.
What do you write on a wipeable wall planner with?
With non-permanent markers or whiteboard markers. Permanent markers can only be removed with alcohol and attack the surface over time.
Are public holidays and school holidays printed in?
The wall planners include the nationwide public holidays. For school holidays there's the separate School holiday planner A4 2027 with all federal states.
Are there 18-month wall planners too?
Yes, in several variants — useful when projects run across the turn of the year.
