Every FriXion and every V-Board Master can be refilled. A refill costs a fraction of the pen – and the grip your hand knows stays where it is.
A good pen lasts years.
A FriXion costs 2.90 €, a refill barely half that – less again in a set. The sums are one thing; the other is that your hand gets used to a pen: its weight, its grip zone, its clip.
The refills are sorted by line width first. 0.5 mm fits the Point and Clicker models, 0.7 mm the Ball, Ball+ and Clicker. The FriXion Zone takes its own metal refill.
And the whiteboard markers have their own refill cartridges – for 1.50 € instead of a new pen.

Six refills, one width
All the refills in a pack have the same tip. The ball tip measures 0.70 mm, which gives a line of about 0.40 mm.
The length has to match
FriXion refills are matched to the pen body. A 0.5 mm refill does not fit a 0.7 mm pen – which is why the packs are sorted by width.
Six instead of three
The Family Pack holds six refills instead of the usual three. For anyone with several pens in the house – or who writes a lot.
The family
The lettering tells you what the refill is made for. FriXion refills only fit FriXion pens – they carry the same heat-sensitive ink.
The number that matters
M stands for medium, 0.7 for the ball in millimetres. If you are unsure: the figure is printed on the pen as well, usually next to the clip.
Which models it fits
The bottom of the pack states which pens the refill belongs in – here Frixion Ball & Frixion Ball Clicker. When in doubt, look there rather than guess.
Rule of thumb: Look at the pen first, then buy the refill. The line width is printed on almost every FriXion – usually next to the clip or on the cap. 0.5 and 0.7 mm look alike, but they do not fit each other.
