About us & more

From weak view to weekview.

Get to know the people and the deeper roots behind weekview — and why we hold the week to be the greatest productivity hack in human history.

The core

It all started in 2010.

weekview began in 2010 with a vision from Nikolaus Obersteiner: to lead people out of aimlessness into an ordered life.

Our social mission, „turning the weak into heroes“ , is at the heart of everything we do — and it is even in the name: from weak view, the weak view, came weekview, the view of the week.

Here you can find out more about our team, our biblical DNA and our passion for the greatest productivity hack in human history: the week.

The social mission behind weekview
Four roots

Where it all comes from.

A vision, a play on words, a conviction — and a very old idea.

01

2010: a vision

Nikolaus Obersteiner asked himself how you plan time so that the important things get done in the end — not just the urgent ones. That question produced the first weekview book and everything that came after it.

02

weak view → weekview

The name says it all. The weak view becomes the view of the week: leading people out of aimlessness into an ordered life — that is what we mean by „turning the weak into heroes“.

03

Biblical DNA

The 6+1 rhythm, the day of rest, thinking in weeks: this order is not new, it is thousands of years old. We say openly where we take it from — and what we work for.

04

The greatest productivity hack

The week survived every calendar reform because it works: long enough to learn from, short enough to keep in view. That it rests on no natural phenomenon and still applies worldwide makes it the most remarkable tool for dividing up time that we know of.

Frequently asked questions

Since 2010. It began with a vision from Nikolaus Obersteiner and the question of how to plan time so that the important things actually get done.
What do you mean by „biblical DNA“?
The weekly rhythm of six working days and one day of rest comes from the biblical order of creation. We use it because it works — and we say openly where it comes from. More on this under Vision, mission, passion.
