A New Year's resolution fizzles out by February. A quarter delivers.
13 weeks is the timeframe in which change really happens: long enough for a real result, short enough to stick with. That's why the Business Planner has you plan the quarter rather than the year — four fresh starts a year, four chances to adjust course.
At the start of the quarter you choose three goals for 90 days — no more. For example: finish that qualification. Run ten kilometres without stopping. Hand over the client project cleanly. Three goals, and each one gets a fixed place in the planner — because a goal without a plan stays a wish.
Then you break every goal down like a staircase: 13 weeks, 13 steps. “Run ten kilometres” means nothing more in week 1 than three times two kilometres. Your quarterly goals are right in front of you at every weekly planning session — and you pick three weekly goals that take you one step higher.
Three questions on Saturday, five minutes: What worked? What didn't? What will you take with you? Then 24 hours off — Saturday 6 pm to Sunday 6 pm. After 13 weeks you take stock: qualification passed, ten kilometres run, project delivered. That's the 90-day rally — not a sprint, a rhythm.
