Setting priorities with A/B/C

A, B, C – and why B changes everything.

weekview planner with priorities A, B and C
Three letters instead of ten frameworks.
In short:

At weekview, setting priorities means dividing Your weekly tasks into A (important + urgent), B (important, not yet urgent) and C (less important). The decisive lever is B – whoever tackles what's important before it burns, lives ahead of the curve instead of in firefighting mode.

The three levels

A · important + urgentB · important, not yet urgentC · less important

A you do straight away. C can often be dropped or delegated – however loudly it shouts. "Urgent tasks are usually not important, important ones usually not urgent."

Why B is the quiet key

B is the important work that still has time – the prevention, the strategy, the relationship, the big project. If You only ever put out A fires, You never get to B and stay on the treadmill. Plan B early and You stop B turning into an A-grade fire.

weekview principle

Plan priority B

Priority B is intrinsically motivating: more quality, less stress, no burnout. Deliberately set aside time for one B every week.

A/B/C on the week, not the day

Priorities live at week level. Each week You decide which A/B/C tasks count – and which day You get them done stays flexible. That way a packed Tuesday doesn't break Your whole plan.

Frequently asked questions

How many A tasks per week?
As few as possible. If everything is A, nothing is A. Keep A small and invest deliberately in B.
What do I do with C?
Be honest: drop it, delegate it or bundle it. C must not eat the time meant for B.
Isn't A/B/C the same as Eisenhower?
The idea is similar – but weekview brings it consistently onto the week and emphasises B as the lever. A method is a tool; the week is the workbench.
