Calendar or system?
If you Recording appointments , any well-made book planner will do. Brands like Leuchtturm1917 or Moleskine are excellent there — lovely paper, clean workmanship.
If you Set priorities, steer quarters and reflect on weeks , you need a system that fixes these steps in place. That's what weekview is for.
Honestly: if you only note appointments, you'd be paying us for structure you won't use. If you want to plan, a plain date grid won't give you what you need.

When the classic is the better choice
If you exclusively note appointments and are happy with a weekly overview, weekview gains you nothing — except pages that stay empty. A high-quality book planner is then cheaper and just as good.
Even if you already have a well-worn system of your own — bullet journal, your own templates, a digital setup that works — don't swap it for someone else's. The best system is the one you actually use.
Our suggestion: if you've been living the same overloaded week for years and can't explain on Friday why the important things didn't happen — then switching is worth it. Otherwise not.

Isn't weekview considerably more expensive?
At the entry level yes; compared with the upper price range of classic book planners, hardly. A high-quality A5 book planner often sits in the same range as our Business Planner. The difference isn't the price — it's what's in the book.
Do I have to use the whole system?
No. Many people start with just the weekly pages and the priorities and discover the quarterly pages later. None of it is compulsory — the structure waits until you need it.
How long does the changeover take?
One to two weeks. The weekly planning is understood immediately; the quarterly logic usually clicks at the first change of quarter.
Is weekview available as an insert for my cover?
Yes — Business inserts A5 2027 for Filofax punching, personal inserts for A6, and the X17 booklets for the modular system.
