Drifting is the normal state
Drifting along → Recognizing the weekly goals
Emails, calls, shouts across the office: without a deliberate start it isn't You who decides about Your week — it's Your inbox. The urgent wins, the important loses. On Friday You were busy, but not effective. That is why every weekview week begins with a short pause: What really counts this week?
Important beats urgent
Urgent is loud, important is quiet. The distinction is the oldest wisdom in time management — but it only works if it has a fixed place. At weekview that place is the week: looking at the coming seven days You don't ask "What's due?", but "What brings me closer to my quarterly goals?" Your weekly goals emerge from that question.
First recognize, then plan
Weekly goals are not to-dos. They are the two or three results by which You measure on Sunday whether the week was good.
This is how You recognize Your weekly goals
Look at Your quarterly goals
Which stage is due in the next 13 weeks — and what of it belongs in this week?
See the week as a whole
Appointments, commitments, energy: what is realistic? A week has room for something big — but not for everything.
Choose two to three goals
No more. Everything else is tasks that take second place to the goals — sorted by A/B priorities.
The result: a week with direction. Don't do more — do the right thing.
With the weekview weekly planner
Weekly goals, A/B priorities and the whole week on one double page.
