It's the question everyone asks in December – and nobody can answer in January. Most people remember last month and not much else. Not because nothing happened, but because it was never written down anywhere.
The Year Chronicle is the space for it: the milestones and main themes of a year, sorted in time and visible on the wall. You don't fill it in at the end of the year, you fill it in as you walk past – which is exactly why it is complete when the year is over.
Three zoom levels on one sheet
Right at the top there is room for the year and the box for annual themes – the things that stand above everything else.
Below that come four large fields for Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4, each in its own colour. Directly beneath run the twelve monthly columns from Jan to Dec – colour-matched to their quarter, so everything falls into place without a second thought.
Along the bottom edge sits the week bar from 01 to 52 and below it an open grid area. That way every event goes exactly where it belongs: roughly in the quarter, more precisely in the month, exactly in the week.

How to get started
Working backwards is easier. Start with the years, then add the hard key dates – house moves, job changes, births, company launches. The themes area then fills up almost by itself. For everything else: symbols instead of sentences – they take up less space and can be read from three metres away.

How is the sheet laid out?
In three levels: at the top the four quarter fields, below them the twelve monthly columns in their quarter's colour, and right at the bottom the Week bar 01 to 52 with an open grid area. Plus a field for the annual themes right at the top.
Is a year printed on the sheet?
No, the chronicle is undated – you write in the years yourself. So you can start today, fill in a year that has already passed, or begin with the year your company was founded.
What does “Plus” mean?
The Plus edition doesn't come as a bare sheet, but with the accessories you need to fill it in: Sticker sheets with hundreds of symbols, a non-permanent marker with clip and the weekview Pinits for mounting.
What can I write with?
With a non-permanent marker (e.g. Lumocolor) – it wipes off dry and without any residue. Permanent markers do not belong on the surface – they can leave residue behind. A suitable marker is included in the Plus set.
How is the chronicle mounted?
With the weekview Pinits on smooth, solid surfaces – no drilling, no frame, and repositionable at any time.
How is this different from the 10/20-Year Chronicle?
The time span. This chronicle shows one year, but right down to the week. The 10/20-Year Chronicle shows a whole decade – every year to the quarter, on two ten-year timelines. Both are available wipeable.
